Dr.
Bednerik
teaches playwriting and script analysis. She has written, produced and directed
numerous productions for university and professional theatres. She taught
acting at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, directed at Summerstage in
Terre Haute, the Circle Repertory Lab theatre in New York, the Provincetown
Playhouse, and the Oldcastle Theatre in Bennington, Vermont. She was named
as a Gian Carlo Menotti Guest Artist and directed at the Piccolo Spoleto
Festival in Charleston, South Carolina. Her American College Theatre
Festival production The Canterbury Tales played at The Kennedy Center.
Recent publications include "Some Particular Pursuits: the Double
Fiction of Simon Gray" in Simon Gray: A Casebook and "Writing the
Other" in Marsha Norman: A Casebook. Dr. Bednerik has presented a
number of papers before the international meetings of The Pinter Society. |
