DIRECTIONS TO THE SCHOOL OF THEATRE & DANCE

DANCE FACILITIES

Directions from Akron, OH to Kent State School of Theatre and Dance (MACC ANNEX)

Take I-76 East towards Youngstown, OH

 Take the OH-43 Exit—Exit 33 toward Kent/Hartville

 At the end of the exit ramp turn LEFT.

            Follow OH-43 for approximately 3.2 miles

Turn RIGHT onto Haymaker Pkwy. (which is also OH-59 and becomes E. Main)

Follow OH-59 for approximately 1.0 miles

Follow until you reach the traffic light at the intersection of Lincoln and E. Main Street.

Turn right at Starbucks and proceed two blocks to Summit Street.  Turn left and proceed

 East to Visitors’ Parking (on your left)ms.

The MACC Annex is an orange brick building that sits behind the MACC.. 

From Visitors’ Parking: (Please familiarize yourself with the KSU map of South Campus)

Take the sidewalk on the right hand side of the MACC (Memorial Athletic & Convocation Center, or “Gym”) and follow it to the parking lot.  You are now at the front of the Gym Annex.  Take one of the outside stairways to enter and look for Dance Studios 221, 222, 205 and the locker rooms (or enter via the bank of doors on ground level and go up two ramps to reach the studios).

To find the Dance Offices (266), follow the hallway to your right and go up one ramp (from the main floor, go up three ramps to reach the Dance Office).  At the end of that hallway, turn left and continue until you see the Dance Office (266) on your right hand side.

Directions from Cleveland, OH to Kent State School of Theatre and Dance (MACC ANNEX)

Take I-77 South toward Akron, OH

Merge onto I-480 E via Exit 156 towards Youngstown (travel on this approximately 12 miles)

Merge onto OH-14 E via Exit 21 towards Youngstown, (follow this approximately 12 miles)

Turn RIGHT onto OH-43 (travel on this approximately 6 miles)

Turn LEFT onto CRAIN AVE.

Turn RIGHT onto UNIVERSITY DR.

Turn RIGHT onto E. MAIN ST.  (also called OH-59)

Follow until you reach the traffic light at the intersection of Lincoln and E. Main.

Take I-80 W towards Akron

Take I-76 towards AKRON (Follow this approximately 27 miles)

Take the OH-43 Exit, EXIT 33 toward Hartville/Kent

Turn RIGHT onto OH-43 (follow this approximately 3 miles)

Turn RIGHT onto Haymaker Pkwy. (which is also OH-59 and turns into E. Main Street)
