Alpha Psi Omega

Alpha Psi Omega
Welcome! Alpha Psi Omega is the national theater honors
fraternity. The organization was founded in 1921, at Fairmont State
College in Fairmont, West Virginia. Kent State’s Beta Psi cast is
among 987 casts nation wide making it the largest honor society in
America. Alpha Psi Omega's colors are amber and light blue, to
represent the colors most commonly used in theatrical lighting. Alpha
Psi Omega's flower is the African Violet.

Alpha Psi Omega recruits exemplary students. Dedicated Beta Psi
cast serves the School of Theatre and Dance by funding scholarships
for students and by hosting the annual banquet for the School of
Theatre and Dance at which student achievement is honored. This year’s
fund-raising efforts include concession and popcorn sales and the 3rd
annual Omega Man Competition, an all male beauty pageant held each
spring.

Theatre majors and minors must have at least a 2.5 GPA to be
considered for membership and have a record of service to theatre and
to the school. New members are inducted once per semester. For more
